Even if the development team wants to make it on by default, it really needs to have an option for disabling. I can understand the usefulness of automatic volume adjustment, but there are two big problems with the way TV implements this. Usually this can happen if he grabs his headset and bangs the mic against something, causing teamviewer to detect a high volume noise and lower the mic volume to an unusable level.

When checking the volume of his mic, it was all the way to zero and we couldn't increase it. However, it does not raise it back up at all. What TV does is if it detects loud incoming audio in the mic, it'll lower the mic volume automatically. In this case, it was a problem with his mic volume. Teamviewer actively controls and locks the microphone volume.
